It is always exciting to read a new issue of QLRS. In the current issue, you can read "Our Greatest Years Have Passed Like Flowers", a poem by Leanne Dunic;  "The Years", a short story by O Thiam Chin; "A Room for Three", a short story by Ouyang Yu; and a review by Toh Hsien Min. In its tenth anniversary issue, you can find the following works by Cha contributors: Arjun Rajedran's "Elegy of the adulteress", Bernard Henrie's "Jiating Pavilion", Bob Bradshaw's "A Poem after Tu Fu", Heng Siok Tian's "Whose song is it anyway?", O Thiam Chin's "You Are Always Here, All The Time" and Cyril Wong's "Open Season on Martin Amis". Make sure to read Toh Hsien Min's editorial "Age is just a number" as well.

Cha contributors' books are shortlisted for the Singapore Literature Prize 2010


Congratulations to Cha contributors Wena Poon and Toh Hsien Min! Their books -- Wena's The Proper Care of Foxes and Hsien Min's Means to An End -- are shortlisteded for the Singapore Literature Prize 2010, run by the National Book Development Council of Singapore. Reid Mitchell and Bob Bradshaw in QLRS

Reid Mitchell's poem "On Green Mango Street" and Bob Bradshaw's poem "Listening to Mother's Advice" are now both published in the January 2009 issue of Quarterly Literary Review Singapore (Cheif editor: Toh Hsien Min).
