Alistair Noon
Alistair Noon's first full-length collection, Earth Records, is due out this month from Nine Arches Press. Alistair is having a book tour to launch the book. He will appear in London (Wed 16 May, Thursday 17 May - the main London launch), Sheffield (Saturday 19 May), Nottingham (Sunday 20 May), Leicester (Monday 21 May) and finally, Berlin (Thursday 24 May - this is the main Berlin launch).

Cha contributors win Best Short Writing in the World 2011

Congratulations to Robert Masterson. His poignant poem "The Distance Between These Things" wins Fleeting Magazine’s Best Short Writing in the World 2011. Robert will receive a year’s subscription to Stack, a personalised monthly selection of the best independent magazines from the UK, Europe and America.

Marc Vincenz wins third place with his social critique poem "While Facing the Urinal" and he will receive three months' subscription to Stack.

Vineet Kaul and Alistair Noon were finalists.

You can now read Alistair Noon's poem "Hill with Bunker and Flak Tower" on the Longbarrow Press website. The poem, first published in Gists and Piths, will be included in Alistair's forthcoming pamphlet Swamp Area (revised and expanded from the 2009 Intercapillary Editions online publication.
